The Colombian flag was opened on November 26, 1861. The national flag is rectangular, and the ratio of length to width is about 3:2. From top to bottom, it consists of three parallel horizontal rectangles of yellow, blue and red. The yellow part accounts for 1/2 of the flag, and the blue and red each occupy 1/4 of the flag. Yellow symbolizes golden sunlight, grain and abundant natural resources; blue represents blue sky, ocean and river; red symbolizes the blood of the patriots for national independence and national liberation

"The country of the equator" Ecuador joined Grand Colombia after independence in 1822 and withdrew in 1830 to establish the Republic.

Therefore, the national flag of Ecuador is a tricolor flag like the Colombian flag. The difference is that the national emblem is added to the central flag. So they are very similar.
