The United Arab Emirates flag is a horizontal rectangle with a length to width ratio of 2:1.

It consists of four colors: red, green, white and black. 

The flag side is a red vertical rectangle on one side of the flagpole, and three parallel horizontal rectangles on the right side, which are green, white and black from top to bottom. 

These four colors are pan-Arab colors and represent several dynasties of the descendants of Muhammad.The red symbolizes the motherland, the green symbolizes the pasture, the white symbolizes the achievements of the motherland, and the black symbolizes the battle.
