On June 4, 2008, Subedar Anandan Gunasekaran lost his left leg in a mission. But he did not be negative,he started the athlete training after the injury.
September 2015,The Sri Lankan Army Paralympics,where he won gold and silver medalsin the 200 m and 100 m races.
At the same time,He won a gold race medal for the Indian Army at the 2015 World Congress for the Disabled, breaking the Asian record in the T-44 category and becoming the first Indian athlete to achieve this goal.
After winning the gold medal in the 200m competition of Handisport Open Paris in 2019, he also qualified for the 2020 Tokyo Paralympic Games.
On October 26th, he also performed well at the 7th World Military Games in 2019 in Wuhan, China, and won three running gold medals for India. His results are 100m (12 seconds) 200m (24.31 seconds) 400m (53.5 seconds)
